FAQs
Of course. Many travellers come alone and leave with new friends (and maybe a spooky story or two to tell). Our groups are small and welcoming, so you’ll never feel like you’re wandering Dracula’s land by yourself… unless you want to. Single supplements are available if you prefer your own room.
Yes, the Bran Castle Halloween Party is a masquerade at its finest, so costumes are part of the fun. Vampires, witches, zombies, creative twists… anything goes. We recommend packing something you’ll be comfortable wearing all night. There are very limited costume rentals locally, so it’s best to bring your own.
Autumn in Transylvania can be chilly, especially in the mountains. Bring warm layers, a rain jacket, comfortable but sturdy shoes for cobbled streets, your best costume, and maybe a clove of garlic if you’re superstitious!
Because this is the gateway to Transylvania. Bran Castle is just a short drive away, and you avoid the notorious traffic from Bucharest to Bran, that can swallow half a day! With new direct flights into Brasov Airport, you can spend that time exploring more castles, legends, and atmosphere instead.
Yes. Extra nights in Brasov/Bran can be arranged on request, whether you want to ease into Transylvania before Halloween or wind down afterwards.
Not unless you find mulled wine and medieval legends terrifying! The atmosphere is spooky, yes - castles by candlelight, haunted stories, misty forests - but it’s more about fun than fear. Think masquerade ball with a gothic twist, not a horror movie jump-scare. The only thing truly frightening might be how quickly you’ll want to come back next year.
